Everyday Skin Issues and Simple Solutions
Dry Skin
Ultimately, the way to heal and avoid dry skin is to keep your skin hydrated, moisturized, nourished, and healthy. In bath or shower, begin by cleansing with Natural Shea Moisturizing Body Wash. Next, apply Natural Shea Body Scrubs to gently exfoliate and smooth skin. Pat skin dry and massage in Natural Shea unrefined Body Butter to lock in moisture.
For daily skin maintenance:
- Cleanse with Natural Shea Moisturizing Body Wash in bath or shower.
- Apply Natural Shea Body Lotion, morning and night, for all day moisture.
Rough Skin
Dry, rough, and chapped skin can be unpleasant and very painful. When simply moisturizing is not enough, try implementing a total body smoothing regimen into your grooming routine. Once or twice a week, cleanse skin with Natural Shea Moisturizing Body Wash, followed by gently exfoliating problem areas with Natural Shea Sugar Scrub. Apply Natural Shea Lotion to your entire body, then Natural Shea Body Butter to those really rough areas.
Cracked Heals and Rough Feet
Your feet take quite a beating every day. It is important to use a strong hydrating and moisturizing cream or lotion on your feet in the morning and at night, especially after a long day at the office. Most common foot lotions may smell nice, but they evaporate quickly and do not help the skin on your feet hold in the moisture they need. Try applying Natural Shea Body Butter on your feet at night then sleep in your favorite cotton socks. In the morning, remove the socks to reveal soft feet.

Sunburn
The best way to treat painful sunburn is to prevent one from happening by wearing a sunscreen with an SPF 15 or higher. However, if you are planning a day at the beach, or a summertime pool party, always remember to wear sunscreen. But, in the event that you forget to reapply your SPF, and you feel that red burning coming on, take over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications immediately. These stop inflammation and reduce the amount of redness and pain.
Then apply cool compresses and cool moisturizers. Try putting a moisturizer in the refrigerator for a few hours before applying.
Stretch Marks
The most common causes of stretch marks are pregnancy, rapid weight loss or gain. Although they pose no threat to your health, stretch marks can cause a person to be very self-conscious. Gently massage Natural Shea Body Butter to any problem areas. The Certified Organic Shea can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
Cuticle and Hand Care
It is important to take care of your cuticles, for they act as a barrier, keeping bacteria out of your body. When your cuticles are ragged, dry and peeling, a simple moisturizer can make all the difference. Carry Natural Shea Body Lotion or Body Butter with you and apply is several times a day, paying special attention to rubbing it into your cuticles. For an at-home manicure, try exfoliating hands with Natural Shea Body Scrub, followed by massaging Natural Shea Body Butter into your hands. This will smooth away dryness, leaving your skin feeling soft.
Uneven Skin Texture/Tone
Many women have problems when it comes to uneven skin texture and/or tone. One method to balance out uneven skin tone is exfoliation via a daily body scrub. Daily exfoliation helps to remove the dead cells from your skin’s surface. This method not only evens out your skin tone, it smoothes it out as well. Exfoliation can also be done using natural products, such as Natural Shea’s Body Scrub, bringing a brighter glow to your skin!

Vitamin A is known to have anti-aging benefits as well because it helps to prevent premature wrinkles and facial lines. The Vitamin F acts as a skin rejuvenator making your rough, dry skin smooth, soft and nourished. Shea Butter also contains a high level of cinnamic acid, a natural sunscreen component. Our Organic Shea Butter is refined without the use of harsh chemicals, which retains all of the beneficial ingredients as opposed to processed Shea Butter.
